A few things people get wrong
Get fluent first, then sit the exam.
Backwards. You drill the exam, and the fluency comes with it.
A private tutor is the gold standard.
Not for one exam. Your own recorded reps beat two hours a week.
You will know when you are ready.
You will not. You are ready when your mock clears 50, not when the nerves stop.
II · Inside the Playbook
“Half the work of passing is knowing what not to study.”
You don't need a year. You need a focused month.
Most candidates spend six months because they don't know which six weeks to focus on. The oral is graded at A2. Daily practice for four to eight weeks beats a full classroom semester. The fastest path is the most prepared one.
Topics overlap more than they look.
Your job, where you live, what you cook, what you do on weekends. The same short stories travel across most of the topic list. Build them once, reuse them everywhere. You are not preparing seventeen separate worlds.
Memorise patterns, not answers.
Don’t write paragraphs. Build small sentence shapes you can reuse. "I like X because Y, but Z." Three or four patterns cover most of what you will need to say. Patterns survive nerves. Memorised paragraphs don’t.
Start with a mock, not a textbook.
Take a mock before you study, not after. It shows you exactly what is missing in fifteen minutes. Then you spend the next four weeks fixing only what is broken, not what you imagine is broken.
Speak daily, not deeply.
Fifteen minutes every day beats two hours every Saturday. Output beats input. Even one short recording a day moves the score. Reading more grammar does not.

VI · Questions
The Sproochentest is Luxembourg's official language test for citizenship. The oral exam is a single 10-minute spoken assessment with two parts: a 5-minute interview on an everyday topic first, then a 5-minute picture description. The oral grades speaking at A2. A separate 35-minute listening section at B1 (100 points) is offered, but if you pass the oral with more than 50, listening becomes optional.
Online prep with native Luxembourgish feedback is enough for most candidates, if you put in focused reps. A tutor adds live conversation but costs €40 to €60 per hour. LëtzPass gives you the reps and the feedback for one payment.
Your access stays. Re-take any mock as many times as you need. The Sproochentest can be repeated several times a year, and LëtzPass was built for that path too. The 14-day money-back guarantee covers your first two weeks if the product isn't right for you.
