The single most useful thing you can do early in your Sproochentest prep is sit a full mock exam, in the real format, and see your score. It tells you what to fix, and it makes the real room feel familiar. You can do one here for free, no card required.
What a mock gives you
- The real format. The same oral structure: an interview on an everyday topic, then a picture description, in Luxembourgish.
- A score and a report. Not just pass or fail, but where you stand and which parts let you down, so your prep targets the right thing.
- A rehearsal under pressure. Most people freeze because exam day is the first time they have spoken Luxembourgish with something on the line. A mock removes that "first time."
Why start with a mock, not a textbook
Studying without a baseline is guessing. Five minutes of speaking out loud tells you more than an hour of reading: whether you freeze, whether you reach for words you do not have, whether your answers are long enough. Then you fix exactly that, using model answers and the right scoring strategy.
How to use your result
- Weak on speaking? That is the priority, since speaking alone can pass you. Drill reusable answers and answer at your level.
- Weak on listening? Build the daily-exposure habit well before exam day.
A mock is free and takes minutes. Do one, read the report, and let it tell you where to start. The full plan is in our guide to passing the Sproochentest.
